Ruan Bradford Wright
About the Author
Ruan Bradford Wright (aka Ruan Wright) was born and educated in the UK. She moved to the US in 1996 with her husband, two small children, and five large suitcases. She now lives in the south-western suburbs of Chicago. She has been writing since she could hold a pen and creating since she was born, according to her mum. She has published poems and short stories in numerous online and print journals including RADIX, ART TIMES,WINDHOVER, PENNINE INK, TROUVAILLE REVIEW, and MOON JOURNAL. She has served as judge for a variety of writing competitions, chaired local Writers’ Groups, emceed a monthly open mic at Barnes & Noble, and won an array of awards for her writing. She was an assistant Fiction Editor for FIFTH WEDNESDAY JOURNAL, and is a former healing prayer minister in the Episcopal Church. Her first poetry chapbook, thought-fish, was published in 2009 by Moon Journal, and her first novel, Toe-rag, was published in 2023 by Fae Corps Publishing. She’s currently working on its sequel, Gowan, and a book of Yoga poems with line drawings.
